Mark Ou

Welcome to my corner of the web! I am Mark, a postdoc researcher at National Taiwan University Hospital, specializing in bioinformatics. My research focuses on how structural variation in DNA, like repeat sequences, and methylation are connected to diseases, particularly rare ones. I work with both next-generation and long-read sequencing technologies to study the genetic basis of diseases. Having completed my doctoral studies at Uppsala University and earned a master’s degree in Biostatistics from National Taiwan University, my goal is to better understand genetic variation and its role in disease, contributing to advancements in medical research.
